Silikumva Media Centre Co-design
See Saw Do facilitated a co-design workshop that invited the end users to re-imagine the existing plans for a Media Centre designed by the Western Cape Government. The community of past students, teachers, after school organisations and educators were invited to reflect on the existing design and reconsider how their future space could better meet their needs and facilitate the future of education. The hands-on conversation was facilitated and documented by See Saw Do. We produced a 3D render based on the workshop and packaged the final design in the form of a visual document that could be implemented within the existing budget of the WCED. This document was first presented to the community for feedback, refined and then presented to the WCED. The new vision managed to win over the support of the WCED and a new Media Centre was built. See Saw Do then went on to produce shop drawings that were used to inform the implementers on how to produce and install the new designs.
